The Net is my life Past RP experience: ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} harryjamespPART TWO Some of you have never done an app or are so paranoid that you need one to be present, just to fill it out. 1.Character Name: Minerva McGonagall 2.Age/Birthdate: 22 / October 4th 1925 3.Wand: Eight Inch Chestnut Unicorn Hair Core 4.Bloodline: Pure Blood 5.Why this character: I always thought McGonagall would be fun to play. Especially with her being so stern and set in her ways. 6.What is said about your character on the lexicon? If you changed canon facts, what did you change? It doesn't say much. Gives her Appearance, but that's about it. 7.Look at the available/taken list and put which characters (at least ten names) that your character would interact or be familiar with: The characters you pick should have something remotely in common and should be stated on your userinfo which characters. This will help for others to see who they can plot with. Minerva McGonagall – We'll just say all the good guys, since McGonagall knows quite a few of the people on the list. 8.PB: Anne Hathaway 9.Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual 10.Personality: She's very stern, but understanding. She rarely smiles, but does have a soft side for certain students. Her demeanor could be considered that of a wretched old hag, but she does show true caring for those people she feels deserve it. She was raised in a household of a no-nonsence wizarding family. She was forced to live up to her mother's expectations, and always tried not to disappoint her. Minerva only felt she lived up to them the day she brought home her head girl badge. When her parents passed away, she had no one to make proud of her anymore, so therefore she softened just a bit. It wasn't enough to make a significant impact on her life, but it did help her. She still never broke the rules, and never favored anyone. Including her own house for that reason. 11.Family: Millie McGonagall - Mother. A powerful witch which is where Minerva got her sterness, not being allowed to do much socially, and to focus on studying prior to recieving her letter to Hogwarts which was a joyus occasion for the family. Agustus McGonagall - Father. She was a complete Daddy's girl. She could do no wrong in his eyes. He always tried to help her come out of her shell, and get her nose out of the books. She somewhat resented him for that, due to her goals in life, but she loved him just the same. He always made her home life fun. 12.Personal History: Home life: Minerva was raised in a very strick wizarding home. She was prepared well for her life at Hogwarts, but it also shaped her reasons for being so rule following, and having no tolerance for misbehavior. Having no real social life, Minerva had no time for boys, or anything of the sort. Books were her love. Knowledge her power. As a Student at Hogwarts: Minerva went to school with Tom Riddle, and Rubis Hagrid. She was quiet, shy, and worked very hard at her studies. Her goals were always to return to the castle to teach, but she had to make the most of what she was taught to begin with. She was a perfect student, getting outstanding O.W.Ls in all her classes. She always thought there was something funny about Tom Riddle. She could sense the evil almost. She tried to avoid him as much as possible, especially when the chamber of secrets was opened the first time. Minerva knew that Hagrid had nothing to do with that, but she was afraid to speak out, and hurt her chances of ever becoming a professor for the school. Instead, she let Tom show his true colors later on in life, and made it her civil duty to make sure that he was destroyed in some way. There was no rejoicing when Tom was defeated by Harry the first time. Only mourning the deaths of the Potters. And her concern over Dumbledore leaving young Harry with the Dursley's was shown very early on. Minerva was made Head Girl in her seventh year at Hogwarts, and the first thing she did was rush to the owlery to let her parents know. They were both so proud of her, that they bought her new dress robes, and a book that taught her how to become a tabby cat. Minerva had plenty of suitors after her, but she would rather study than take notice of them. To the day she passed on, she had never married. Her only loves being Hogwarts, and the students who attended. At Hogwarts: Minerva began teaching Transfiguration which she feels is the most dangerous forms of magic back in 1956. She served in the castle as head of the house, and also deputy headmistress for over forty years. She has a love of quidditch, and hates all dark forms of magic. She treated all teachers with respect, and sometimes got over emotional when it came to student safety. She is an Animagus taking the form of a Tabby cat with square patches around its eyes that look like her spectacles. Her Patronus is also the same thing. She often used this to her advantage, catching first years by surprise by returning to human form when they arrived late to her class. The War: McGonagall showed her loyalty to Harry Potter by fighting side by side with him during the last battle, and being the first to rush to his side at the defeat of Voldemort. 13.Samples. Minerva sat at her desk, quill in hand and a cup of freshly brewed tea to her right. Her hair was kept down, hanging to her buttocks, as she wrote the letter that was keeping her up most of the night. She had so much to say, so much to get out in the open, and so much to explain to Lily and James' boy, and she knew in her heart she had to start tonight. "Dear Mr. Potter" Minerva read aloud to herself, making sure to correct any mistakes as she went along. "I know you have many questions that need answers. Like what exactly has happened, why you've returned to your former age of 18, and why your mother and father are alive." McGonagall fixed her spectacles on her face, and pulled her long graying hair across her shoulder. "I wish I could give them to you Harry, but the only person who knows for sure what's going on, is He Who Must Not Be Named. My advice to you Mr. Potter is to enjoy the gift you've been given, the gift of your father and Mother being alive, and hold it dear to you. Sirius will most likely be along shortly. Don't lose your head, and always stay strong." She scribbled another line to the end of the letter, and attached it to the owl perched on her desk. She gave it a loving rub under the chin, and sent it off. Her voice is heard softly in the darkening room as the candle goes out.
